Grundstein is a belgian band founded by drummer, guitarist and composer Stijn Demuynck. This trio consists of clarinet/saxophone, bass and drums, it assembles songs and deconstructs them into one narrative sound. The functions of the instruments are being mixed-up, the untight rhythmsection tells a chaotic order that fascinates and liberates. Their soundworld brings you to forests, mountains and wilderness. A journey through chaos, peace, with a potential explosion of raw force.

The Debut Album „Pouancé“ has been released in 2017 and contains an additional choir. In December 2018 Trio Grundstein recorded its second album.
