Bruitkasten is a concert series held at the “Gemeinde” gallery and organised by Cologne’s Impakt Kollektiv. Concerts take place on the first and third Wednesday of every month in the evening.

Every Tuesday evening, Jazzorama takes place at the Artheater in the heart of Ehrenfeld.

CGNYC Loft

The first encounter between musicians is a very special moment. Cologne bassist and bandleader Florian Herzog has embraced precisely this idea with his concert series CGNYC – Cologne meets New York City, for which he invites instrumentalists from New York to Cologne.

Jazz im Greesberger

The Jazz im Greesberger series was created to provide a platform for musicians from Cologne’s jazz scene to experiment with and present new, previously unheard projects in an intimate setting.

King Georg Summer Session

Seit Sommer 2026 findet donnerstags die neue King Georg Summer Session statt. Sie löst damit die bisherige monatliche King Georg Session ab und wird in Zusammenarbeit mit Studierenden der HfMT Köln organisiert.

[de.lite] Session

Mitten im belgischen Viertel liegt das [de.lite], eine Cocktailbar im 70er Jahre Ambiente. Jeden Donnerstag findet hier eine konstant laufende Jazz-Session statt. Das Set der Opener-Bands beginnt um 21:00 Uhr, danach ist die Bühne für alle geöffnet.

Four musicians – four instruments – countless possibilities. Bassist Robert Landfermann, guitarist Tobias Hoffmann, drummer Jonas Burgwinkel and saxophonist Sebastian Gille are deeply connected within the regional, national and international music scene. They have long been highly regarded as exceptional musical partners and have received numerous prestigious awards.

IMPAKT e.V.

Impakt e.V. is a Cologne-based collective dedicated to free improvisation and contemporary music. Since 2014, its young musicians have been shaping the city’s scene through concert series, festivals and workshops, exchange and new musical encounters.

Die Jazzszene lebt von der Individualität und Teamfähigkeit aller Akteurinnen und Akteure, dem Talent, der Professionalität und den Ideen der Künstler:innen - sie vereint die unterschiedlichen Strömungen aus aller Welt mit ihrer Musik. Köln ist ein Zentrum des Jazz in Deutschland und in Europa. Damit das so bleibt, ist es notwendig, junge und arrivierte Künstler:innen zu unterstützen und sie für Köln und die Region zu gewinnen.

Cologne Jazzweek

Since 2021, Cologne Jazzweek has turned the city into a stage for jazz and improvised music every late summer: more than 50 concerts across over 20 venues, some 10,000 visitors, and artists from Cologne, Europe and around the world. Named "Festival of the Year" at the German Jazz Award 2023.

Winterjazz

The new year always kicks off with an evening full of WinterJazz. In early January, all the rooms at Stadtgarten, as well as Zimmermanns club, open their doors to Cologne’s jazz scene.
