The MILLENNIUM Trombone Quartet consists of four of the most exciting German jazz trombonists of the latest generation. Nicolaj Wolf, Moritz Renner, Philipp Hayduk, and Kai Baumgarten blend modern jazz with chamber music in an unusual and captivating ensemble.
Using innovative playing techniques, they create a rich variety of timbres that captivate the audience. From Norwegian snow-covered landscapes to cosmic expanses, from blues to twelve-tone music—their meticulously arranged compositions reveal the influence of György Ligeti, Kenny Wheeler, and Nils Wogram, resulting in a truly distinctive sound.
