St. Peter
Sankt Peter is a unique space where faith, contemporary art and new music enter into dialogue. Its historic church interior is continually transformed into an open space for new artistic and spiritual experiences.
Sankt Peter is an art station, a globally unique place where faith and liturgy engage in dialogue with contemporary art and new music. The Late Gothic church interior, which has taken on new forms again and again over the centuries, is now largely free of religious imagery and pews – a bare space of spirituality. Contemporary artists continually reshape this emptiness through the power of their ideas. Their works, which they entrust to the congregation for a certain period of time, confront visitors with existential questions and inspire the lives of the faithful through worship.
