Ben Fitzpatrick Quartet featuring Johan Hörlén 

Johan Hörlén and Ben Fitzpatrick are most well-known locally as members of the WDR Big Band saxophone section. For this concert, they perform in a quintet configuration, joined by the WDR Big Band’s renowned pianist Billy Test, along with Philip Lewin on acoustic bass and Dominik Raab on drums.

The performance serves as a release concert for a new live double CD recorded by Fitzpatrick. The album features two distinct sessions: one recorded with Johan Hörlén and the other with Bob Mintzer. The quintet will play a mixture of jazz standards and original compositions drawn primarily from these recordings.
