Young Talents: Svetlana Marinchenko – SVM3

Leif Berger (Schlagzeug), Roger Kintopf (Bass), Svetlana Marinchenko (Klavier, Synth)
SVM3 is a creative, sound-experimenting trio that doesn’t just cross musical boundaries – it often tears them down on purpose. Under the artistic direction of Svetlana Marinchenko, the group forges a sound that fuses electronic density with acoustic intensity, oscillating between contemporary jazz, improvisation, and raw, high-energy expression. The trio brings together powerful piano, synthesizers, bass (Felix Henkelhausen), and drums (Philip Dornbusch) into a constantly evolving sonic organism – sometimes atmospheric, sometimes driving, always emotional. What makes SVM3 stand out is its fearless approach to contrasts: lyrical piano lines intertwine with electronic textures, grooves dissolve into shimmering soundscapes, and melodic clarity merges with bursts of rhythm and intensity. Their music feels both finely crafted and wildly spontaneous – a dialogue between precision and freedom, structure and chaos, tenderness and explosive energy. The project embraces groove, melody, and even hints of pop sensibility – yet always filters them through an experimental lens. Its foundation is deeply rooted in jazz, but its spirit is unbound: curious, daring, and open to constant transformation.
