Als Rising Star (NRC) und Nr. 1 in der Kategorie Gitarristin des Jahres – Benelux (Gitarist.nl Poll Awards, 2026) ist Ella Zirina eine unverwechselbare Stimme an der Gitarre in der niederländischen und internationalen Jazzszene. Die 1997 geborene Lettin, die für ihren innovativen Sound bekannt ist, verleiht dem Instrument neue Klangfarben und Perspektiven und schafft Musik, die Ohr, Verstand und Herz gleichermaßen anspricht.

Ihre Karriere begann mit ihrem Debütalbum Intertwined (2023), das während eines Aufenthalts im BIMHUIS entstand und für einen Edison Award nominiert wurde. Seitdem hat Zirina vier Alben als Bandleaderin veröffentlicht und sich eine starke Präsenz in der internationalen Jazzszene erarbeitet. Mit ihrem Trio tourte sie durch Europa und spielte bei Festivals vom North Sea Jazz Festival bis zum Oslo Jazz Festival. Zuvor trat sie bereits im LOFT an der Seite von Pablo Held auf und war 2023 als Solokünstlerin im Kölner Stadtgarten während des KLAENG Festivals zu sehen.
Zirina vereint ein Trio von herausragenden Persönlichkeiten der Jazzszene: den niederländischen Schlagzeuger Jamie Peet, bekannt unter anderem durch seine Zusammenarbeit mit Y-Otis und Jasper Høiby, sowie den in New York lebenden, dänischen Bassisten Felix Moseholm, der ein gefragter Mitwirkender bei Brad Mehldau und Samara Joy ist.
Gemeinsam konzentrieren sie sich auf Zirinas gitarrenorientierte Kompositionen, die von Klang, Textur, Dynamik und wechselnden Stimmungen geprägt sind und Musik aus ihrem neuesten Trio-Album Boundless Blue, Sunset Hue sowie neue Kompositionen enthalten.

Die Konzerte im LOFT beginnen in der Regel gegen 20 Uhr - das LOFT öffnet jeweils um 19.30 Uhr.

Her journey took off with her debut album Intertwined (2023), created during a residency at BIMHUIS and earning an Edison Award nomination. Since then, Zirina has released four records as a leader and established a strong presence on the international jazz scene. With her trio, she toured across Europe, performing at festivals from the North Sea Jazz Festival to the Oslo Jazz Festival. She has previously performed at the LOFT alongside Pablo Held, and appeared as a solo artist at Cologne's Stadtgarten during the KLAENG Festival in 2023.

Zirina brings together a trio of distinctive voices in the jazz world: Dutch drummer Jamie Peet, known for his work with Y-Otis and Jasper Høiby, among others, and Danish bassist Felix Moseholm, based in New York and a sought-after collaborator of Brad Mehldau and Samara Joy.
