Faces & Places Quartet

Das Faces & Places Quartet widmet sich zwei Größen der Jazz-Geschichte: Thelonius Monk und Ornette Coleman. Sie spielen ihre Lieblingstücke dieser Giganten auf ihre sehr eigene, individuelle Art und Weise, brechen Strukturen auf und erweitern die Improvisationen. Alle Band-Mitglieder sind seit langem ein wichtiger Teil der agilen Jazzszene Berlin’s und haben ihre Spuren in unterschiedlichsten Formationen auf dem Parkett der internationalen Musikszene hinterlassen. Ein Abend voller Überraschungen, abenteuerlicher Improvisationen und wundervollee Songs.

The Faces & Places quartet pays tribute to two of the greats in Jazz history: Thelonius Monk and Ornette Coleman. They play their favorite tunes of those giants in a very own, unique, individual way, breaking structures and extend improvisations. All members are long time part of the vibrant jazz scene of Berlin and marked their footprints on the international music scene.
A night of surprises, adventures improvisations and simply beautiful tunes.


NOTE: In 2024, concerts at the LOFT will generally start at around 8 pm CET - the LOFT will open at 7.30 pm CET.
